The Scout Hut is located in the day walk area of the Cradle Mountain National Park. To get there, park at the Ronny Creek car park and follow the Overland Track, crossing the bridge over Ronny Creek and then onto the junction where the Overland Track meets the Horse Track. Take the Horse track and walk up the steep hill until you find the Hut on your right after a strenous walk. From the car park, the lodge is approx. 1 hour walk for people with average fitness.

NATIONAL PARK FEES

As the The Scout Hut is located within the National Park, you will require a valid Parks Pass for the entry of each vehicle in your party.

REGISTER YOUR WALK

You should register your walk at the Ronny Creek registration booth as heading to The Scout Hut. Any walks that you do from the Lodge should be registered in the Hut’s log book.
